Why I Created MyPatchPower

I'm Dora and I've lived with vitiligo since I was 13, but I never wanted it to decide how I lived my life.

Losing my sister to cancer reminded me that life is too precious to let my skin decide how I live it. I made myself a promise: I would never let my skin stop me from doing the things I love or make me feel less than anyone else.

I created MyPatchPower to help others build that same confidence through personalised artwork, children's books and practical support for living well with vitiligo.

Because our skin should never decide how much of life we allow ourselves to live.
